SV-DEV User Guide

Structured English guide with key workflows and coming-soon notes.

Quick Start

Sign in, create org/workspace, and start collaborating.

  • Sign in β†’ onboarding auto-opens if no org/workspace
  • Go to /w/{workspaceId} to work
  • Connect GitHub/GitLab (recommended)
  • Invite teammates to org + workspace

Chat

Channels, DMs, threads, mentions, files, reactions.

  • Threads keep channels clean; replies also visible in the channel
  • Mentions @username β†’ notifications
  • Formatting: bold/italic/code, emoji, file attachments
  • Search messages/pins/reactions (if enabled)
  • Coming soon: quick commands for approvals/merges/deploys; AI drafts tasks from chats

How-to

  1. Create or open a channel
  2. Write a message; use @ to mention (if enabled)
  3. Reply in thread via β€œReply in thread”
  4. Attach files via the paperclip

Video Conferences

  • Channel-based calls; invite participants
  • Planned: recording + role-based transcripts
  • Planned with AI: summaries and task drafts from transcripts
  • Planned: guest conferences with non-workspace users

Tasks

Kanban with Gantt and Sprint views; Git-linked.

  • Views: Kanban + Gantt + Sprint
  • Fields: status, priority, assignee, due date, description, attachments, sprint, plan/actual hours; story points planned
  • Git links: commits/PRs visible when repo is linked to workspace

How-to

  1. Open Tasks in the workspace
  2. Add task β†’ fill title, status, priority, assignee, dates, sprint, hours
  3. Drag between columns to change status
  4. Open task to edit description, checklist, files

Calendar

  • Create events, invite attendees, set reminders
  • Recurring events: weekdays, weekly, monthly (by date or day of week), yearly, or custom pattern
  • Edit/delete recurring events with scope: this event only, this and following, or all events in series
  • Time auto-adjustment: default start time is 12:00; end time auto-shifts if earlier than start
  • Click any day to create an event on that date
  • Views: month / week / day
  • Coming soon: links to tasks/deploys (if enabled)

How-to

  1. Open Calendar
  2. Click a date to create a new event (defaults to 12:00)
  3. Set title, time, location, color, and invite attendees
  4. Choose a recurrence pattern (optional): weekdays, weekly, monthly, yearly, or custom
  5. For recurring events: editing or deleting prompts for scope β€” this event, this and following, or all
  6. Save the event

Documents

  • Notion-like visual editor with autoformatting, versions, comments
  • File uploads with content extraction
  • Sidebar tree with nesting
  • Coming soon: auto-created/maintained docs from tasks and PRs

How-to

  1. Click β€œNew document” and start writing
  2. Use the visual editor; autoformatting applies
  3. Save versions; add comments
  4. Upload via drag & drop or dialog

Git Integration (ready)

/w/{workspaceId}/git β€” GitHub, GitLab; self-hosted GitLab coming soon.

  • Connect provider β†’ choose GitHub or GitLab
  • Sync repositories; manage access (GitHub App link)
  • Repos: privacy, archived, stars, forks, issues, default branch; Link/Unlink to workspace
  • Commits timeline; PR list with status/sourceβ†’target, reviewers, additions/deletions
  • Automation tab: rules to post Git events to channels

How-to

  1. Open Git in the workspace
  2. Connect provider β†’ approve OAuth
  3. Sync and link repos to the workspace
  4. Review commits/PRs; configure Automation rules

CI/CD (coming soon)

  • Release/CI/CD management with release calendar annotations
  • Auto notifications on build/deploy statuses

Notifications

  • Mentions and Git/task events may raise push/in-app notifications (if enabled)
  • Allow browser notifications; disable Do Not Disturb to receive alerts

Settings

  • Manage organization and members
  • Workspace settings: slug, name, access
  • Profile: name, avatar, timezone, notifications

Tips & Shortcuts

  • Link repos to see commits/PRs in context
  • Keep task statuses/priorities clean; link tasks to branches to automate status updates
  • Store key knowledge in Documents; attach PR/commit links

Troubleshooting

  • Repos not showing: hit Sync; ensure GitHub App installed / GitLab instance URL is correct
  • No access to private repos: check GitHub App permissions or GitLab tokens
